Perhaps he'd set his expectations too high. Though the students here had optionally moved on to higher education, the majority of them seemed to lack basic focus. The volume of incessantly stupid questions he'd received throughout the day alone was astronomical, and the test results he'd handed back to his students simply made him lose faith in humanity.
Slumping into the chair behind his desk, he lets out a sigh, watching the last of them filter out. Not yet into his thirties, and he couldn't possibly feel more old and crotchety. ]
It had been six months since he'd started classes here, even if they were mostly for show and he blended in well enough that most people didn't really think anything of his presence on the campus.
But he had his own goals and at the moment, he was leaning against the door frame of the classroom, gaze focused on the slender man behind the desk.
Despite the man's efforts to blend in, he'd seemed to have different plans entirely, when it had come to Tieria. Time and again, the student had stepped forward to speak with him on friendly terms, though he had initially been met with an indifferent attitude and multitude of skepticism for his intentions.
As it stands now, the other has grown on him. Though his grumpiness wouldn't be an obvious indicator, he's begun to open up to him slightly. At the very least, he allows his presence now, instead of shooing him off. ]
No more than the usual, and that's precisely it.
[ Hands raised exasperatingly, he shakes his head, and sits back into the seat he's in. ]
[ Side-eyeing him a bit flatly, Tieria crosses his arms over his middle. Slowly quirks a brow. ]
If my frustration and utter lack of faith in them hasn't been enough to deter that sort of behavior, I'm certain that my reflective grading procedures have.
[ But he tilts his head to glance over the rims of his glasses and meet Lockon's gaze. ]
And judging by your satisfactory marks, it would imply the opposite for you, I take it.

"They might be too busy watching the professor to pay attention to the lesson."
